Get Exactly What You've Been Wanting

The Monolithic Dome has no competition when it comes to an auxiliary gym or multipurpose center

by David B. South

There's no building in the world that can compete with the quality of a Monolithic Dome practice gym or multipurpose center. Churches and school districts around the world, both private and public, are in need of more space for a wide variety of purposes. In addition to utilizing the dome for various sports, it also provides rehearsal space for bands, drill teams, cheerleaders and seminars.

Affordability and Safety with Pre-designed Plans

By purchasing a pre-planned Monolithic Dome practice gym, you are buying the very best structure available for the money. A Monolithic Dome will pay for itself over twenty years of energy savings. It has a lifetime measured in centuries. It cannot be burned and most importantly, it serves as a disaster shelter during potentially catastrophic events such as, tornados, earthquakes, or hurricanes.

The design pictured at right is for a 6,000 square foot practice gym. It provides for a slightly shorter than standard length, but standard width, basketball court. A standard high school court measures 50' x 84' while a junior high court measures a little smaller. Church gymnasiums are not usually full length. Even smaller scale gyms can be used for other sports functions in addition to basketball. The height in the middle of the dome works well for volleyball.

A school district can have just the shell built and finish it themselves with their own resources or forces. Or they can choose to use other construction management options to complete the project. The gym pictured here would cost anywhere from $350,000, bare bones, to $500,000 with wood floor and rest rooms.
