FOR SALE SOLD!: The Europa Dome - Italy, Texas
In the spring of 2006, we built the shell of a four-dome house on the front of our property, here at Monolithic. It sits on approximately 1.1 acres and has a total floor area of about 2700 square feet. The home is up and structurally finished, but needs Monolithic Stucco on the outside, windows, doors and a complete finish out.
The land and dome-home (as is) are worth $150,000. It will take approximately that much more to finish the home, depending on the level of finish on the inside. We are willing to sell as is for $120,000.
Built as part of a training exercise, it was to be a dome-home for one of Monolithic's employees.
We have decided to put it on the market as is and let the buyers determine the interior finish out. The buyers can finish it themselves or have a local contractor or Monolithic do the finishing.
The 1.1 acres share a pond with Charca Casa. It is a gorgeous location in a nice part of the country. Italy, Texas is a small, unobtrusive town, forty miles south of Dallas.
