| Living room on the main floor with a small wood-burning stove. The owners are not expecting to use the stove. Instead, they rely on a hot water system running along the floor of each level. The hot water comes from a boiler in the basement. Although the home only required a 17,000 BTU boiler, the smallest they could buy was a 40,000 BTU unit. The home is cooled using ceiling fans and a turbine vent on top of the dome. There is no air-conditioning. |
