The most recent comes from the Burlington Free Press in Vermont, which describes the dome-building process this way in a recent article: “You can inflate a tire, or inflate a balloon. Like many small towns across America, Leoti, Kansas has struggled to find an affordable replacement for its aging elementary school. Voters rejected a proposed $8 million bond issue earlier this year, and another proposed $11.1 million bond issue failed four years ago, leaving school administrators searching for other options.

The Children’s Reading Center, Inc., a charter school in Palatka, Florida, will soon become the second school in the state to shelter its students in the safety of Monolithic Dome buildings.
