“He’s the Henry Ford of domes.” He’s “both of the Wright brothers put together.” Those are some of the glowing terms used to describe David B. South in a lengthy feature story published August 26th in the business section of the Dallas Morning News. Columnist Cheryl Hall chronicles how David built his first dome in Idaho in 1975, and now operates a firm that offers construction advice to dome builders all over the world. In the article headlined “World Dome-ination”, David describes how his dream is to see one million inhabitants of the world’s poorest countries living in dome homes by the year 2017.
