Dear David,
My name is Matt Urich. I attended your workshop in
the fall of 1998 and completed the week-long training course offered
by UCSC in the spring of 2000.
I first discovered Monolithic Domes in 1996 and have
been a devoted follower of the concept ever since. I promote domes at
every chance and have educated many on the advantages offered by them.
One of my co-workers attended the workshop after I shared my knowledge
about domes, and is now in the process finishing out the interior of
his Hyperion style dome, the first dome in the Indianapolis area. My
mother and father are seriously considering a dome for their retirement
home, and this spring I purchase a piece of property that, God willing,
I will build my own dome home very soon.
Watching the evolution and growth of your business
these past few years, the number of domes being built, the architects
and designers willing to work with dome builders, and my experience
working with my friend on this dome; I decided last fall to put together
a polyurethane spray rig so I might become a contributing member of
the dome community. I am listed on your web site as a foam provider,
and have been contacted by a few people interested in building. Unfortunately,
I have yet to actually spray a dome. However, I am doing some conventional
types of foam work.
I have spared no expense in putting together a very
nice trailer. I have a Glas-Craft MKII with 200 foot of hose and Probler
spray gun, refrigerated air dryer, 17cfm air compressor, Gusmer transfer
pumps, 25kw diesel generator, and room for 5 to 6 sets of material.
I am completely self-contained, but wired to use commercial power if
available. My rig is paid for and payment free. I know this is contrary
to your philosophy of the type of trailer to have, but I chose the gooseneck
for other reasons.
I love domes and want to learn and become known as
a skilled and reliable foamer who is helping to change the face of the
world.
Yours truly,
Matt Urich
