Positive
in New York
It's difficult
to know just how far-reaching a news article about Monolithic Domes can
be. In June 2002, an article appeared in our local paper. Just a month
later, Eugene Cannava from New York wrote to us expressing his excitement
and positive impressions about the Monolithic Dome gymnasium built in
Italy, Texas which he read about in our paper. His letter reads as follows:
Dear
David South,
I am
a native of New York City and I taught high school for thirty years
here. My sister has lived in Italy, Texas for many years and keeps me
informed of interesting events. She mailed me a newspaper clipping describing
your participation in promoting the community shelter/gym which was
built as a Monolithic Dome. It was a real pleasure to read your article
and I want to congratulate all concerned with such a marvelous choice
of architecture and a truly noble motivation.
I have
visited your community several times and found it pleasant and friendly,
but this has raised it to a level of exemplary, sincere concern for
its residents. I hope it will influence many more such actions. I applaud
you!
Sincerely,
Eugene Cannava
