Summer 2001

Texhoma School District
by Kris Garrison

Exterior and interior finishing touches are nearly complete for the Texhoma School District. Permission has been granted from the architect and the state to begin using the 66-foot cafeteria dome beginning September 4, 2001.

School officials are extremely pleased with the 108-foot classroom dome as well as the smaller classroom dome. Alden Porter, Monolithic's Construction Manager said, "They are very excited to get so much school and space for the amount of money they were promised. Work crews expect the entire project to be complete by October 1, 2001.

Texhoma

Texhoma School District (Texhoma, Oklahoma): A 108' and a 66' dome on 10-foot stemwalls are connected to each other using conventional construction. Seven classrooms and a central administrative area take up the lower floor of the large dome. The upstairs houses a library to serve students and the community. The smaller dome will house a cafeteria, with kitchen facilities and a lobby in the connector. Click Here!
