Attention Dome Builders -

On Saturday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. there will be an "INFLATION" party at the home site of Bert Jacobs in Austin, Texas for their 40'x33' (with a 13'stemwall) dome home. It will include a potluck/bbq. Anyone who wants to go for a swim in the river is welcome - it just happens to be in his backyard. So,bring your swimsuit!

Bert is part of the Austin Coop which is a designated group of builders who have joined together to help each other build Monolithic Domes.

Serious Dome Builders Wanted: Anyone interested in getting some hands on experience with hanging rebar and/or shotcete application call ahead to work out details. If you want to commit to work with Bert during the whole shotcrete phase, he is happy to discuss possible compensation.

Directions from Austin: Go 71 East past Bergstrom Airport, continue through Garfield (heading towards Bastrop). When you see a Texaco on the left, you will be about 4 1/2 miles from your turn off of 71. When you see a very large cellular tower with a small FINA station on the right you will turn LEFT off of the highway onto N. Pope Bend Rd. Go approximately 4 1/2 miles (don't turn around when the road turns to dirt). At the end of the road it will turn back to the left (a v-turn). Go left onto River Front Drive - go to box 186.
