Dome News - 2001 Monolithic Dome Tour a Huge Success

Monday morning, Oct 22, 2001, two days after the First Annual Monolithic Dome Home Tour, phones rang and e-mails poured in from participants. Most reported a successful first-time endeavor.

The Monolithic Dome Institute opened its doors to approximately 300 visitors on Saturday - some from as far away as Seattle, Washington.

Because Bracken and Nina Cherry, owners of Xanadu in Sedona, Arizona, opened their home both Saturday and Sunday, they reported an astounding 1600 visitors.

Anne DeMoss, Tour Coordinator said, "Our main goal was to educate others about Monolithic Domes and we definitely accomplished that in most of the tour's locations. Anytime you do something the first time, you learn what to do again and what not to do. We have learned so much from this experience. We did some things right, but some need re-evaluation. We will definitely be doing this again next year!"
